I'm not an especially gifted coder, so it took quite a few people's assistance to make my website look even remotely decent - not to mention, a bunch of free-ish assets taken from various online websites.
Coding Help
Ryan Fitzgerald and Parker Higgins were very helpful in walking me through a ton of extremely basic HTML and bugtesting, not to mention obliging me when I said dumb shit like "hey if you have twenty minutes could you explain how the Wu-Tang Name Generator works?" That sort of thing.
Of course, W3schools proved very helpful as well for some of the basics of HTML, but perhaps surprisingly, it was a twenty-year-old Pokemon fansite that proved most useful in creating this site - thanks, The Cave of Dragonflies, which has a weirdly comprehensive HTML tutorial as well as a page with free layouts which I raided for this website's layout.
This site is hosted on Neocities, a website seemingly used exclusively by teenagers nostalgic for a Web 1.0 that they don't really remember. It's a very user-friendly site, although it was a bit tricky getting some of the assets working through the Neocities interface. A set of tutorials specifically tailored to Neocities on the site sadgrl-dot-online proved very helpful for things like getting the navigation menus to load on every page.
Fonts
The website BitFontMaker2 very kindly hosts a bunch of free-to-use fonts. The font you're looking at right now is ChiKareGo2, made by Giles Booth and used under a CC-BY license. As the name implies, it's an attempt to mimic Susan Kare's "Chicago" typeface from the original Mac.
This other font, "Mormonaco," is also an attempt to mimic a Susan Kare font from the original Mac. I have added diacritics to the base font, as well as several goofy symbols and dingbats mapped to Greek letters, as with this ΑΒΓΔΕΖing swear, and this li'l Clefairy: Ν
This other other font, "NES Cyrillic," is just a default NES font. I think this is public domain - who the hell is going to sue me for using the default NES font? Who even owns the NES font?
There are many other people who helped to make this website good, by dint of influencing me to make content that is not terrible - too many of them to list. I will edit them in as I think of particular people to thank. As a bonus, please appreciate this cool picture of a spider:
